What is kratom?

A leaf from Mitragyna speciosa, a Southeast Asian tree in the coffee family. Brewed and chewed there for centuries. Here’s the honest version, including the parts that aren’t flattering.

Where it comes from

Kratom grows in Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia. Workers there have chewed the fresh leaf or brewed it as tea for generations, for steady energy through long days, and for ease afterwards.

The leaf contains naturally occurring alkaloids, the most talked-about being mitragynine. That’s the compound we measure, and it’s what “35 mg per gummy” refers to.

What people use it for

Reported experiences vary a lot between people, and by amount, food, and context. Commonly described: steady energy, a lifted mood, and physical ease. It is not a medicine and we make no medical claims.

The three formats, plainly

Pre-portioned at 35 mg each. Easiest place to start, because the amount is decided for you.

Loose leaf powder

Milled leaf, measured by the gram on a scale. Cheapest per gram, most control, most effort.

Extract capsules

Concentrated and encapsulated, measured in milligrams. No taste, no prep.

These are not interchangeable. Grams of powder, a 35 mg gummy, and an extract capsule are different things, never convert one into another.

The honest cautions

Regular daily use can build tolerance and habit. That’s real, it’s on our label, and it’s why we say start low and take breaks.
It’s 21+. Not for anyone pregnant or nursing, and not alongside medication without talking to your clinician.
It’s restricted in some states. We don’t ship to eighteen, see the list.
Drug tests. Kratom alkaloids aren’t on standard panels, but specialised tests exist. If testing matters in your life, nobody can honestly promise you a result.
